Is vaginal size related to sexual pleasure?

Vagina size, like the penis, has long been a subject of interest and observation. Traditional Chinese Taoist sexology texts categorize vaginas into eight types, based on their depth: Xuanzhu (4 inches), Gushi (6 inches), Yuque (6 inches), Kunhu (7 inches), and Beiji (8 inches). Popularly, vaginal tightness is measured by its ability to “grip” the penis. A vagina that can actively “grip” is considered tight, while one that cannot is considered loose. However, few formal studies have explored these concepts.

From a functional perspective, it makes more sense to consider the vaginal opening separately from the upper and middle sections. The upper and middle sections are flexible and expandable. While they appear to be a flat tube, they function more like a balloon. Normally, there’s no such thing as a shallow or deep vagina. Theoretically, with adequate stimulation, any healthy adult’s vagina can accommodate even the largest penis.

However, the vaginal opening is a highly sensitive area. The average length of an Asian woman’s vagina is 8-10 cm, but only the outer two-thirds experience intense pleasure. So, while vaginal depth varies from person to person, the sensitive areas are the same for every woman. Therefore, vaginal depth has nothing to do with sexual pleasure.

By comparison, the argument that the vagina is too loose is more plausible. After childbirth, the vagina never returns to its original size, and the tearing of the birth canal during delivery reduces the tension of the vaginal walls. However, even in these circumstances, the vagina can expand to accommodate the size of the penis. Given the relatively insensitive anatomy of the vaginal wall, it’s safe to assume that the bulk of the vaginal cavity doesn’t significantly affect sexual sensation for either partner. In short, in most cases, there’s no issue of penis-vagina incompatibility.

The degree of blood flow to the erectile tissue in the anterior chamber of the vagina and the level of muscle tension in the sphincter muscles surrounding the vagina contribute significantly to the varying tightness of the vagina, leading to varying sexual sensations for both the woman and her partner. If these muscles are too tense, it can cause discomfort for both partners; if they are too loose, blood flow is insufficient, reducing sensitivity and pleasure, and weakening the grip around the penis, thus affecting orgasm for both partners.

PC muscle exercises are considered a good way for women to treat vaginal prolapse and prevent uterine prolapse. For men, PC muscle exercises can help with erections, delaying ejaculation, orgasms, and even multiple orgasms.

Vaginal dumbbells are designed to target the vagina and PC muscles. They can be used to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles and prevent vaginal loosening. They work by utilizing natural movement to generate vibrations. Two balls are embedded in the balls, and when they roll, they vibrate and create stimulation. The benefit is that it allows for consistent exercise and tightens the muscles in the genital area. Interestingly, some models come with two balls of varying weights, one lighter and one heavier. This allows you to feel like you’re holding onto them during training, unlike those exercises that don’t work in the air and don’t feel effective. This toy allows you to truly feel like you’re in control and constantly playing with it.
